Welcome to Phoenix Progress Alternative Provision, opening 23rd February in Claydon.

We offer up to 15 hours per week of off-site provision for pupils in Key Stages 2, 3 and 4, with placements available for one, two or three days per week, operating Monday to Friday. Our work aims to support the reintegration of pupils back into mainstream education through a balanced approach of educational learning and therapeutic support.
A day at Phoenix Progress will cost £250.
Schools and organisations will be invoiced half-termly for sessions.
All booked sessions will be invoiced in advance of the pupils’ start date and must be paid before the pupils begin with us. All placements include lunch.
Our curriculum is designed to be flexible, responsive and individualised, recognising that pupils accessing alternative provision often require a different pathway to engagement and success.
To maximise engagement and outcomes, the curriculum is carefully tailored to the needs of the cohort at any specific time, taking into account pupils’ age, ability, prior learning, SEND profiles and social, emotional and mental health needs.
Delivery may take place through 1:1 or small group sessions, with a strong emphasis on relationship-based practice and a trauma informed approach.
Where appropriate, learning may support Functional Skills, Entry Level outcomes or GCSE related skills, though the primary focus is always on re-engagement, progress and readiness for the next stage of education.
Functional Skills in English and Maths are offered as part of our curriculum, with a focus on practical literacy and numeracy skills that support everyday learning, communication and future pathways. Learning is aligned with Functional Skills content and assessment criteria and delivered at a pace appropriate to each pupil’s readiness. Accreditation is considered where appropriate once pupils are ready, either through partnership arrangements or centre approval as the provision develops.
Every pupil placed at Phoenix Progress is supported through an Individual Learning Plan (ILP), developed in collaboration with the referring school and informed by identified areas of need. The ILP sets out:
