Phoenix Progress is a new provision based in Claydon, Suffolk and was set up by its Director, who has hands-on experience working in a special school and supporting young people both in and out of education. Having seen first-hand the challenges faced by pupils who struggle in mainstream settings, we offer a safe, supportive environment with extensive outdoor space, providing calming, therapeutic opportunities that help pupils rebuild confidence and re-engage with learning

We offer up to 15 hours per week of off-site provision for pupils in Key Stages 2, 3 and 4, with placements available for one, two or three days per week, operating Monday to Friday. Our work aims to support the reintegration of pupils back into mainstream education through a balanced approach of educational learning and therapeutic support.

Pupils arrive at 9:30am, with the day beginning in a calm and supportive way to help pupils settle and feel ready to learn. From 10:00am, pupils engage in a mix of structured learning and therapeutic activities, including English, maths and wellbeing-focused sessions, tailored to individual need. Our provision includes kitchen facilities, allowing food preparation and cooking activities to be incorporated into the day where appropriate. Afternoons may include outdoor learning, creative activities, therapeutic support or further academic work, all supported by experienced staff. The day concludes at 2:30pm, with pupils collected or, where appropriate, making their own way home with permission
