At Phoenix Progress, we understand that the classroom environment isn’t right for every young person, especially during times of crisis, transition or emotional dysregulation. Our short-term respite and emergency provision offers a safe, nurturing alternative for young people who are struggling to engage with school due to anxiety, emotional-based school avoidance, or unmet SEND needs. Whether a young person is at risk of exclusion, experiencing high levels of distress, or simply not “fitting in” with the expectations of mainstream education, we provide a gentle, stabilising space to pause, reset, and rebuild.
What We Offer:
Our team is trained to respond with empathy and expertise, helping young people re-engage with learning and life through trust, connection, and meaningful experiences.
For young people who need sustained, tailored support beyond short-term respite, Phoenix Progress offers a longer-term placement model that blends academic continuity with therapeutic exploration. This would be aimed at young people registered with mainstream schools with Phoenix Progress being a supportive element to that young person’s education, bespoke to that young person upon consultation with their school. Our aim is to re-engage young people in learning while nurturing emotional wellbeing, confidence, and life skills.
What We Offer:
Whether a young person is awaiting a specialist placement, transitioning between settings, or simply needs a longer runway to thrive, our provision offers stability, purpose, and growth.
