Who we are
At Phoenix Progress Alternative Provision, we believe every young person deserves the chance to rise, no matter the challenges they face. Born from a vision to create a nurturing, future focused environment, Phoenix Progress was set up to support those who find mainstream education difficult to access or engage with. Our strapline, “Together, we rise”, reflects our commitment to walking alongside young people as they rebuild confidence, discover strengths, and unlock new opportunities.
Our Philosophy
We provide a stimulating and practical setting where learning is made relevant to life beyond the classroom. By combining academic pathways with hands‑on experiences, we help children and young people develop skills essential for work, independence, and wellbeing.
- Outdoors at the heart: Nature is central to our approach. Outdoor learning, conservation projects, and team‑building activities encourage exploration, resilience, and a deeper connection to the world around us.
- Practical activities: From building with Lego, to arts and crafts and a dedicated Sensory room, we give our young people the chance to gain confidence through tangible hands-on activities.
- Therapeutic support: We integrate therapeutic practices into daily life. Nature and the 5 acres of outdoor space we have available including a walled garden area, is used in a therapeutic capacity, offering opportunities for care and conservation that build trust, empathy, and self‑esteem.
- Small groups, strong relationships: With high staff ratios and a dedicated qualified counsellor, we ensure personalised attention and emotional support for those who need it most.
Our Commitment
Every member of our team is fully trained, DBS checked, and mental health certified. More importantly, they share a passion for empowering young people to grow, progress, and thrive.
